Celebrating Lunar New Year at MEplace
This week our MEcommunity has had a blast celebrating the Lunar New Year! Our nurseries and MEclubs were filled with excitement – the children have listened to special stories and learnt songs to welcome in the Year of the Snake. We learned about Korean culture from our friends and teachers, exploring traditional clothes and food, and practising the respectful bow, ‘Sebae’ (세배). The nursery children took part in face painting, dancing, and art projects inspired by traditional customs, while our MEclub group tried their hand at creating tangram animals. At MEbaby, the nursery transformed into a traditional Chinese restaurant, and the little ones enjoyed food sensory play with noodles, rice and chopsticks. What a joy it’s been to learn from one another and celebrate as a community!
