Greetings from Hawaii at MEbig
Aloha, everyone! It was another exciting week of fun at MEbig, and the children loved the tropical topic of Hawaii. We explored the culture, geography and music of the islands, learning songs, greetings and dances. The children enjoyed discovering through play, imagining that they were flying to the beach. They role-played at a seaside café, selling ice creams and lemonade to their friends and teachers. In their extracurricular music sessions, the groups imagined diving beneath the Hawaiian ocean waves to discover underwater creatures, and tried out the ukelele, which inspired them to make their own colourful instruments. They learnt about the beautiful tradition of hula dance, and created grass skirts, lei garlands, flower crowns and bracelets inspired by Hawaiian wildlife. We’re so proud of our little learners!
