Concrete Jungle at MEclub HWK
Holiday club is in full swing here in Hackney Wick, and the MEclub children have enjoyed an action-packed week of activities, outings and play. Following the group’s interests and passions, this week’s discovery topic was all about cities and architecture. The children were absorbed in construction challenges, using magnets and blocks to create towers, bridges and roads. They loved researching unusual buildings from around the world, which were brought to life in our projector room. This inspired our little architects to design their own city together, creating streets, buildings, vehicles and green spaces, and even making character animations to match. On their daily outings, the group walked through our cityscape surroundings, taking in all the sights and details of the local roads and parks. And we ended the week with an exciting move to our new premises, settling into MEclub’s new home down the street!
