Everybody’s Welcome at MEplace IS

Over in Islington, the children have been settling in happily to our new nursery, and having lots of fun while getting to know their new teachers and friends. This week, they’ve enjoyed a range of activities to celebrate themselves, one another, and their community. The children proudly showed photos of their families during circle time, and used these pictures to inspire their art activities. They designed homes together with construction toys, and made towers as a team. We celebrated Diwali with bright, colourful sensory trays, exploring textures like sand, coloured water, flowers and scarves. And the children loved their visit from our friend ‘Gentle George’, a cuddly orangutan toy who helps us learn about using gentle hands and treating everyone with kindness. What a busy, exciting week!
