Game, Set and Match at MEbig!

It’s been another active week here at MEbig with our ‘tennis’ topic taking centre court! The children have learnt about professional tennis players through stories and fact books, practising their moves. Our little athletes created their own rackets, which they used for a game of balloon tennis. They got messy with some tennis ball print painting, making striking patterns and colour mixes. And they were excited to learn about the good old Wimbledon tradition of strawberries and cream – this inspired role play, strawberry seed counting crafts, and even a strawberry hunt in the local park. Of course, we finished up the week with an all-important strawberry taste test…!
