Sparkles and Stars at MEbaby

It’s been a magical week here at MEbaby. With bonfire night on Wednesday and the days getting shorter, the children have enjoyed learning about fireworks and the starry sky. Extracurricular sessions were a fun chance to celebrate, with colourful scarves in Creative Dance and firework-themed songs in music – cue plenty of tapping and stomping! The little ones loved getting stuck in with arts and crafts, printing stars and splashing yellow paint on dark blue paper to create a nighttime display. They were fascinated by sensory trays, popping bubble wrap to recreate firework sounds and tracing patterns in glitter and rice. Out in the garden, wrapped up warm, we decorated the walls with colourful chalk patterns, inspired by beautiful firework photos. And a highlight of the week was the indoor firework display, with gentle lighting, bubbles, shakers, music and “b – b – boom!” sounds!
