Hands-On Adventures at MEplace IS
At MEplace Islington, the children have had a wonderful time learning through touch. With a range of sensory trays to investigate throughout the week, our little learners got stuck in – sifting through sand to find hidden treasures, and fishing, floating, reaching and splashing in the water tray. In the chilly ice tray, they explored freezing and melting to rescue stick figures, then recreated them with playdough that they made from scratch. The children loved taking part in hands-on arty activities, like sensory bubble pictures and cling film painting. We celebrated Thanksgiving with exciting investigation stations, while out in the local park, the children connected with nature, feeling the leaves, soil and grass between their fingers. With all this discovery, the soundtrack of the week has been a whole lot of delighted clapping and laughter!
